Who I am
I’m a forty-year old guy living with my wife and son in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. I would rather make something myself— if I know how to do it and have the time— than buy something. This applies to computers, furniture, my house, this website, food ...
I enjoy music— playing, composing and listening to it. I also love film and television— the University where Mary and I met was at the forefront in studying television as an art form, and was featured on 60 Minutes back in the 80s for a story on the rise of the study of television as literature. Of course television, like any popular art form, suffers from an inordinate amount of crap.
What this site is
Mostly, I built this site is for testing code. Because Mary (my wife) occassionally designs websites, I’ll try to keep up with some programming techniques so I can help her if I’m needed.
What is MarvinDog?
MarvinDog Productions, Inc. is the name of Mary’s company. There is a main website, that describes everything that MarvinDog does. This .net server is just a box in our basement that’s used for testing code and client sites before they go live.
