One of the advantages to having my dad in town for the entire month of January is that he likes to cook almost as much as I do. I got home from the office tonight to find my oven full of lasagna, and a pan of garlic bread ready to go in. The only trouble he had in my kitchen was with my convection oven— because convection ovens typically cook faster, some recipes will list a shorter cooking time for convection ovens. The thermometer in my oven reads a higher temperature to compensate for this when the convection fan runs. So, the lasagna wasn’t ready when he thought it should be.
But once we ate, it was tasty— and the red wine and garlic are working to keep things from clogging.
