We had family in town recently. We also had very large bugs in town. Every seventeen years, cicadas invade the area. The funny thing about them is that they’re big, clumsy and noisy. They’re so loud that when I have the top down on my car, they’re louder than the wind noise on the tollway.
And they’re tasty. Several restaurants served them. Animals have been going crazy eating them. One woman in my office says that her dogs have been driving her nuts becasue all they want to do is go outside and scarf cicadas.
We took some family to the Brookfield Zoo. The nice thing about the zoo is that it’s easy to take the train there. While we were waiting to take the train home, the kids were playing with cicadas. And one kid was eating them. I had to video it. Enjoy—
