I was scrounging through the refrigerator looking for something— anything— and finding a bit of lean pork, a few vegatables— I broke out the wok. I have a nice wok— cast iron and well seasoned. It holds heat very, very well. I cut everything into bite size pieces and stir-fried in a bit of smoking hot oil, finishing it with a simple sauce of chicken stock, soy sauce, mirin and corn starch to thicken it. Served over some basmati rice cooked in more chicken stock, it was a nice, quick mid-week meal.
Then we voted.
