The Screen, Continued
For the masking panels, I made frames that I painted flat black. Because the speakers are located where these panels go, I needed to make them accoustically transparent. I used magnetic catches to secure the panels to the frame.
I covered the panel frames with black Dazian CCC.
I covered the screen frame with black velvet. It absorbs so much light that it makes the black Dazian fabric look dark grey in comparison; they’re both black when the lights are out.
This is how the final screen looks with the wainscoting up in the room.
